Introduction

A home is used for storage of contents of both virtual, "Y", and physical, "I", inventory. In addition to being a spawn point, some homes can be purchased for the use of either storing items, aging spirits, or pulling out a vehicle from a player's garage.

Requirements

  • The talent Citizenship this will allow you to purchase a home owners license.
  • You may also purchase the Home Owners license at either a Home Improvement store or a DMV; this is what allows you to purchase a home.
  • Homes will go back on the market for the standard market price after the owner has not logged on for 30 days. You must play within a 30 days period to keep ownership of your houses.

Information

  • Players can own up to Five(5) buildings, both houses, and garages. With an additional talent Leadership this will allow you to designate a home of your choice to be a gang HQ.
  • Designating a house as a gang HQ will give access to an additional spawn point for all gang members, access to all doors for gang members that are level 4 or above, and access to storage for gang members who are level 3 or above.
  • Players can lock/unlock their homes and garages. This can be done by looking at the door you wish to open and hitting the "U" key.
  • The owner of the home may also use the scroll wheel option "Toggle all locks" to allow other players to access the storage of the house, but be aware that this allows everyone to open the crates beware of looters and always make sure to lock your house again after you're done.
  • Players can share the keys to their home. This is done by opening their phones, clicking the Keychain App, selecting the house, selecting the nearby player in the dropdown menu, and clicking the give option.
  • If you purchase a house, all previous storage upgrades will be removed and you will have to purchase new ones.

Finding A Home

  • To find out if a home is for sale, walk up to the desired home and with your scroll wheel select the green option "House Menu", this will tell you the property value and if it is currently owned.
  • To find new homes for sale the player can check out the official Asylum forums, here you can find other players selling various properties across the island. Be aware that homes being sold by players tend to be higher than the market price and your budget should accommodate this.
  • The player may sell their home directly to the bank or list it on the official Asylum forums for a markup.

  • While houses are the safest form of storage, police are still able to raid your property depending on the situation.
  • Homes can be destroyed, most often by explosions; damage to the home will not be fixed until after a server restart and the storage will not be accessible.
  • Storage can be accessed anywhere within the home by pressing "T" or using the house menu. You can change between the storage types by pressing the virtual or physical inventory at the top of the storage UI.
  • Homes will go back on the market for the standard market price after the owner has not logged on for 30 days.
  • You cannot spawn at a house that is within 600m of a cartel location or within 800 of an active turf fight.
